The well stocked Library of Doon Valley is constructed in 13,000 sqft. area, spacious enough to accommodate over 700 students at a time. It has above 80,000 books and 120 online journals, catering to subjects of B. Tech, M. Tech, B.Pharma, M.Pharma, BBA, MBA, BCA, MCA and B.Ed. Apart from a rich collection of books and journals, it also offers pertinent manuals and CDs. In addition to the above resources, a number of newspapers and magazines are also available to the students. The library services are fully computerized.
Library Rules And Regulation-:
- The readers shall maintain perfect order and silence in the Library.
- Making noise, spitting, smoking and visiting the Library in intoxicated condition is strictly prohibited.
- A reader will himself be responsible for any sort of damage caused to the Library or reading material. The member has to replace the damaged material/ property and also has to pay the penalty imposed in such cases. Students/members will vacate their seats ten minutes before the close of Library.
- The Librarian reserves the right to suspend/cancel the membership of any member found misbehaving with the Library staff or any other indecent conduct.
- The Librarian can recall any book from any member at any time.
- A book shall not be issued on loan if the Librarian feels that it is not in a condition to be safely handled by the borrower.
- In case any book(s) has become overdue for more than one month, no further book will be issued unless such book is returned.
- The members should return Library books on or before the due date failing which overdue charges of Rs. 5/- per day per book, will be charged from the students.
- The Library will not be responsible for member’s personal belonging/property if lost in the Library.
- Members shall have to replace the books lost by them or will have to pay double the price of the book. If a book so lost belongs to a set and is not available separately, the members shall have to replace the whole set or pay double the price of the set.
- The Library books are for the benefit of not only the present but also for the future members of the Library. The books should, therefore, be handled with care and consideration. Damaging and defacing of books is highly objectionable and may lead to cancellation of membership, privileges and replacement of the damaged book(s) by a new one by the member.
- Reference Books/ Journals/ Magazines/ CDs will not be issued to the users. They may consult such documents in the Library only. If a reference book is taken outside the Library knowingly or unknowingly, a minimum fine of 500/- will be charged besides disciplinary action.
- The members are required to switch off the mobiles while entering the Library
- The Library rules may be altered or amended or new rules may be added to the existing ones from time to time without any notice to the members and these will be binding upon them.
- The entry in the Library will be allowed with Library Card/ ID only.
